Q: How do the Air Free Mobility tires wear in comparison to the ones I have now?
A: More than likely the tires you see in this section are original equipment replacement items. Since there are only five companies in the world that manufacture these tires and we have relationships with three of them, chances are the tire we have that you are looking at is the exact same tire you have now.
Q: How do I know if any Air Free Mobility tires will fit my hub?
A: Where possible we try to list the particular vehicles that we know for a fact our tires will fit. Since there are thousands of different makes and models over the years, this is quite an undertaking. We do have tires for most of the popular vehicles and our database, while not complete is a good starting point. If you are able to measure your hub as per the instructions on our sizing calculator page then a good fit is assured. Also we welcome any information that we can add to our database.
Q: What if I have a hub that none of your tires will fit?
A: If you measured your hub as per the instructions on our sizing page and the calculator said that none of our tires will fit your hub, then we are sorry. But all is not lost. Please email us the make and model of your vehicle and we will locate the tires you need. We have many more tires than are listed at the present time and since we deal with three manufacturers, it will be very difficult for us not to have a tire to fit.
Q: Why should I buy my tires from you instead of a medical supply house?
A: The fact that you are reading this shows that you are looking to save money. If by some chance we have overpriced a tire in our collection. please let us know about it. Our tires are easy to install on a split hub, are in stock and come with our 90 money back guarantee. Tires is what we do.
Q: What are the PSI equivalencies?
A: Most of our mobility tires don't come with psi customization options since most of the tires are original equipment replacement items. However if a tire can be customized you will be presented with that option when purchasing the tire.
Q: What about rolling resistance?
A: The urethane construction of Air Free tires allow for a rolling resistance equal to or similar to conventional rubber tires. Each tire manufactured has a tread pattern and diameter that minimizes the friction imparted to the terrain surface. Also because the Air Free tires tend to be less squishy than pneumatic ones, the ease of movement is greatly enhanced.
Q: What is the difference between the High Resilient tires and the standard foam tires?
A: The High Resilient option is not offered for the mobility tires but we do offer a super juiced up standard foam on some models that is quite durable.
Q: What about installation of the Air Free Tire?
A: Air Free tires are very easy to install. All you need is a couple of long bolts a pair of pliers and a screwdriver. Getting your wheel off of your mobility vehicle may be a different matter all together.
Q: What if I need to return the tires?
A: This is never a problem. Typically, the only reason tires are ever returned, is because the wrong size tires were ordered. To make sure this doesn't happen to you, please be extra careful of the size of the tire you before you order. If you have any questions or are unsure of your tire size, email or call us.
