Do it yourself programs are economical
and can represent incredible savings. The equipment is fairly inexpensive and
doesn't take a lot of effort to learn how to operate. If you can put air in a
tire and then drill a hole in it, then you have what it takes to become a
do-it-yourself foam filler. We have several programs available. We explain how foam fill and tire fill differ on another
page. To see if Foam Filling is right for you, try our "15 lbs
Starter Package Foam Fill Kit". Learn about the process before making any
major equipment or material purchase.
For do-it-yourself foam filling to be
profitable or to reduce your costs, you'll need to be doing about 100 golf cart
size tires a month. With that kind of urethane volume turnover (about 4500lbs)
monthly, your equipment will soon pay for itself and the costs associated with
your downtime and flats will decrease substantially. If your volumes are under
100 golf cart size tires a month then you'll best be served by contacting us for
your volume discount for the Easy Foam or the Heavy Foam.
Since there is foam and fill, both
require different equipment. Your tire needs, depending on how they are used
will determine which system you need. Tire fill as opposed to foam fill, is
easier to use. The dispensing and mixing systems cost about the same and both
will end up saving you about the same amount of money. The foam is used when a
lighter weight product or application is desired and its use is not considered
extreme. However if lightweight tires is not important, then the tire fill is
very predictable and very easy to use.
We at Air Free Tires can help you make
the right decision on which equipment and systems to purchase.
