You spoke and we listened. For the last two years, we at Air
Free have been soliciting feedback from our current and
potential customers to exactly what they wanted in a tire.
People told us that although many of them were happy with the
tires in our Legacy collection, they wanted more yet less. You
wanted more performance, less weight. You wanted more
selection and less cost. You wanted more safety and less
difficulty in installation. We listened and the Open road is
now finally a reality.
The Open Road is a
simple street tire design for those who have been using a 1.25
- 1.5 type of tire and usually keep the tire juiced up to
80psi and above. This new tire fits the popular diameters of
wheels in the market and is configured to fit the higher end
rims whose interior widths tend to be on the thin side. Made
with little mechanical lock devices the Open Road will stay on
the rim like it was glued. The lower profile means lighter
weight and lower rolling resistance. A unique cross hatch tread pattern gives the tire a distinctive look and our
proprietary High Resilient elastomer ensures the performance
you would expect.
All of the Open Road
tires are available in two to five different bead widths. This
means that just about every rim in each of the diameters will
be able to use an Open Road tire. Of course you need to know
the width of your rim so you can choose the correct tire. Testing
has occurred on a number of our High Resilient elastomer tires
and when possible we will list the results on the website. The
elastomer material has proven to be safe, durable and fast and
has such remarkable low rolling resistance we felt compelled
to make a new line of tires our it. As an added bonus we
have reworked our installation tool so that it will be less
expensive and although these tires are sized 7% smaller than
the rim they are meant to fit, installation ease has been
greatly enahanced. The
Air Free Open Road line of tires is a win-win situation for
everyone as you get the tires you want and we get more sales
and happy customers. We at Air Free are glad we listened. Information
